About Us

The Finish Company is a commercial and residential contractor offering specialties in carpentry, countertops, flooring, millwork, interior/exterior paint and tile. We are not your normal construction service company, we are technology friendly, facilitate two-way communication and believe you deserve professionals on every job. We go out of our way to insure your satisfaction. Blah Blah Blah right... no really! we work our butts off to make sure we get things right. If we do happen to make a mistake, yes we do make mistakes from time to time, then we fix it.

We started the Finish Company to provide all the finish trades under one umbrella because we thought it was easier to talk to one person about multiple trades then to talk to multiple people about multiple trades. (Pretty smart don't you think? Did we mention we are a bunch of rocket scientist turned tradesmen.) We thought we could provide a better service to all types of clients by creating systems and procedures to support work being done in the field. We continue to do this as it never seems to be perfect. Funny thing about perfect systems and construction... we have not found where those intersect yet, but we keep trying.

We focus on the finish trades because that is what people see and value the most at least that is what we believe. We also know that it takes a lot to coordinate the finish trades and the importance of the finishes. Have you ever heard anyone say, "Wow that is a nice framing job" or "my, what nice drywall you have" our guess is that you probably have not heard it. (Note to the framers and drywallers: We are not saying those are not important, so please don't boycott our jobs.) But we are sure you have heard nice woodwork or nice color of paint or "I really like your countertops, where did you get them". With all of this in mind we hope that people say, "The Finish Company did the paint, cabinets, floors, countertops etc. give them a call they were great."

You will find when working with us we are always available and will give suggestions on what we think is the best product or method. We also do our best to improve our environment therefore we use green techniques and products in our regular course of production. We are not fanatical about being green but we believe you need to treat our environment with respect.

We can manage effectively because we leverage technology as much as possible and have built a one of kind online customer access portal (CAP) that allows our customers to have access to information about their job 24/7 and two-way communication that is saved so everyone knows all the details of the project. Just another way we are trying to get perfect systems to meet the construction business.

We are really all about the people. We employ great people and are always looking for great people. We have 31 craftsmen, (not subs) across all trades. This allows us to do projects of any size. Whether you are a homeowner with the need to complete a new tile floor, paint a bedroom or a general contractor needing to complete a 6000+ square foot custom home, we have the team to get it done within your budget. We excel at various jobs including: large custom homes, townhouse projects, commercial projects, tenant improvements as well as kitchen and bath remodel projects. There is no job too small or too large for us to complete.

The Finish Company services the Greater Seattle area in Washington. We provide services in Seattle, Kent, Renton, Auburn, Enumclaw, Black Diamond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Woodinville, Bothell, Lynnwood, Everett, Marysville, Mercer Island, Mukilteo, Tacoma and Olympia.

Seattle and Bellevue Neighborhoods:

What most people remember about us is our people. They are people you would like to sit down and share a beer/coffee/water with. Because we hire people who care about what they do, our quality is something we can stand behind. All of our work is guaranteed as is our effort.

Michael Grabham, an MBA graduate from Seattle University, brings to the table an in-depth background in business management. In the past 20 years, he has started and sold three of his own companies. He is hoping the Finish Company is his last success. He believes that companies in construction should be held to a higher standard that what consumers are expecting today. Whatever you do, do not ask him about the business of construction unless of course you have 30 minutes to waste.

Andy Sewrey has been in the trades for over 15 years, both owning his own painting business and working for others. He brings a level of knowledge to production and painting that is innovative, simple and well thought out. He also thinks he is snowboarder so don't ask him about how that works and he is from Montana.

Steve Stone leads the carpenters, he has extensive knowledge building all types of houses and brings over 15 years of experience as both a builder and carpenter. He helps his team understand the most efficient way to get a job done on time and within budget. He just got married so make sure you compliment him on his new ring.

Casey Berg leads the tile team. He is from a family of General Contractors and understands the importance of getting the job done right the first time. He brings a detailed focus to the tile team and straight forward organization that makes a client's job easier to manage. Ask him about his guitar playing and how many guitars he owns and don't you dare make fun of his truck.
